Frequently Asked Questions
What does "Evangelical Free" mean? The term "Evangelical" refers to our faith, our theology. We are committed to the proclamation of the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, and to the Scriptures as being the inspired, inerrant, authoritative and sufficient Word of God. The term "Free" refers to our polity, our structure and organization. We are committed to a congregational form of government. In sum, we are evangelical, which is an affirmation of our "like faith," our theology, our theological convictions; we are free, which is an affirmation of our polity, our structure, our organization—we are autonomous, congregationally governed, and interdependent.
What will the worship service be like?
We offer two different kinds of worship services. Our Saturday service meets Saturdays at 5:00 pm in the Gym. Singing is led by a band and the sermon is heard live. Our blended services meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and 10:30 am in the Worship Center. The singing is led by our 30 voice choir and orchestra, and the sermon is heard live.
