Hands of Hope

Hands of Hope is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization dedicated to helping women and children in crisis, with a current focus on combating poverty in sub-Saharan Africa, through sustainable projects that address economic development, education, water, and health care in vulnerable communities.

Hands of Hope was birthed at Village Church after Vicky Wauterlek (Director of Women's Ministries for Village at the time), HOH's founder and president, organized a Women's Ministries short term mission trip to Nigeria. Vicky came back determined to mobilize people in our community to help make a difference in the lives of the women and children in Africa who are living in such desperate conditions.
Vision Statement: We are a community of women helping communities of women and children in Africa break the cycle of poverty.

Mission Statement: Our Mission is to give rural African communities the sustainable tools they need to feed their families, educate children, improve health, and become economically self-sufficient.
